From Research to Industry

Research, up to speed.

ZeroToTwoFifty is a podcast about mobility, transportation, and logistics - and the gap between the people who research these systems and those who run them. It's meant to provide a platform for conversations that are useful to both sides, with each one picking up something from the other. If you care about how people, goods, and ideas actually move, it's worth a listen.

From the lab to the loading dock.

Season one is about researchers who took an idea out of the lab and turned it into something real, be it a product, a system, or a company. Every conversation works through the same questions: what made them think this could hold up outside the lab, what carried over from the research, and what didn't, which assumptions fell apart on contact with real customers, and what it actually took to bring it out of the door. Transportation and logistics are projected to be a roughly $23 trillion market by 2035, and much of the room for better, more automated, better-designed systems remains open.

Host bio

Riccardo is a PhD student at the MIT Zardini Lab and the host of ZeroToTwoFifty. He started the show to have the conversations he wanted to hear—between the people doing the research and the people putting it to work. He holds a B.Sc. in AI & Computer Science, an M.Sc. in Data Science, and an M.S. in Transportation, and his research focuses on the co-design of transportation, mobility, and logistics systems.
